Uploading projects to your Flickr account:
Log in to Flickr
YOU > UPLOAD PHOTOS AND VIDEO
CHOOSE PHOTOS (browse to photo)
Set viewing to PUBLIC
Choose ADD DESCRIPTION
Set title to Project # - YourLastName. For example, my first project would be titled
Project 1 - Hokanson
Adding your project photo to the class Flickr group:
GROUP > SEARCH FOR A GROUP
Change search to PEOPLE
Find Flickr account "dconetwentyfive" (no quotes), then choose PROFILE
Select the appropriate group
ADD PHOTOS OR VIDEO
Select photo from your photostream, then click ADD TO GROUP
Archiving projects for extra credit CD:
For every project, create a folder named after the project number (as in Project1, Project2, etc.)
Create three folders inside the first: SOURCE, PSDs, and COMPRESSED
Keep the corresponding files in their respective folders
Never leave project folders on lab computers overnight. Your data might be there next time, but remember that
lab computers are frequently erased
Avoid emailing yourself PSD files. Such files are easily corrupted when emailed
At the end of the quarter, purchase a CD-R. When you put the disk in the drive, it will appear as
an icon. Double click to open, then drag your project folders into the window. Once all files have been
located on the disk, close the window and drag the disk icon to the trash (it will appear
as a raditation symbol). Burning takes a while, so don't save this task for the last minute.
