UNAUTHORIZED REPAIRS : GROUP SHOW @ AROUND THE COYOTE / 2007

chipboard, glue

I've been lucky enough to exhibit this series of work at a few shows in quick succsesion, forcing me to develop the idea at a faster pace than normal.

In addition to previously made items (such as the bike and matching video screen) I created a pay-phone and a free-standing parking meter. I also started to experiment with the patterns themselves, printing the bicycle out at full scale on a piece of 3' x 8' paper. Miniature patterns of bike seats were also available for take-away.

The work was well received, though I think the show was geared more towards sales-oriented work. Nonetheless, people seemed to enjoy it. One person, formerly of the cardboard industry, left me a note to express her delight at the unusual application of the material.
